Terms of Service

Last updated: September 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Marry Mee (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They apply to the Marry Mee website at marrymee.net and to the Marry Mee mobile applications (together, the “Service”).

Please read these Terms carefully before you create an account. The Company can provide the full Service only to members who agree to these Terms. If you do not accept them, you may not use Marry Mee.

Related documents: Privacy Policy, Location-Based Service Terms, Safety, and Community Guidelines.

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms set out how you sign up, what rights and duties you have while using Marry Mee, and the other rules that apply to membership.

Article 2. Definitions

  1. Members are people who complete the sign-up process, hold an account, and are bound by these Terms.
  2. Accounts are the unique credentials used to access the Service. An account is identified by the email address you register (or the email associated with Google or Facebook login). Service notices and account emails are sent to that address. You are responsible for keeping it accurate and for any disadvantage caused by a false or outdated email.
  3. Service means Marry Mee and related features you can use on any device (computer, phone, or other connected device) through the website or mobile applications. That includes profile browsing, likes and matches, chat, location-based discovery, events, identity verification, and paid memberships.
  4. Email confirmation means the Company may confirm information you provide at sign-up. The Company does not have public authority to prove identity and is not legally liable for false or fraudulent information submitted by a member.

Article 3. Effectiveness of these Terms

  1. These Terms become effective when you sign up or otherwise start using the Service. We may amend them to the extent permitted by applicable law. Changes take effect when we post them on the Service and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
  2. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to check the website and app for updates.
  3. If you do not agree to an amendment, you may disable or delete your account. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, you are treated as having agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 4. Rules besides these Terms

Matters not covered in these Terms follow applicable consumer, electronic-commerce, information, and communications laws, and the ordinary practices of online services. Paid features bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores’ terms.

Article 5. Membership sign-up

  1. To become a member you must be at least 18 years old, agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and complete the registration steps. Those steps may include email or social login, date of birth, phone number, interests, photos, language, nationality, relationship status, and location.
  2. Information you submit is treated as true. If we find false information or reason to suspect that you are using another person’s details, we may ask for clarifying documents. If the information is confirmed to be wrong, we may remove your membership rights and block the Service. We are not responsible for disadvantages that follow from that.
  3. We may grade or limit features by plan (Free, Plus, or Premium), usage intensity, or how you access the Service.
  4. We may withhold or refuse membership if any of the following apply:
    1. You have used another person’s name, photos, or identity, or submitted false information.
    2. You previously lost Marry Mee membership for violating these Terms or applicable law.
    3. You intend to use the Service mainly for commercial profit, advertising, or recruitment.
    4. You are under 18 or otherwise unable to enter a binding contract.
    5. We have another reasonable ground that makes it difficult to accept the membership.
  5. The membership contract is formed when the Company accepts your registration and your account is created.

Article 6. Monitoring of members

  1. Full Service is available after you complete the required registration steps. Until then you may be in a limited or onboarding state.
  2. Profiles may be reviewed and, for management purposes, edited or removed by authorized staff.
  3. We may edit or delete a display name or other profile content if it appears to reveal personal contact details, is abusive or unlawful, is likely to be mistaken for the Company or its staff, or was entered incorrectly.

Article 7. Scope of the Service

  1. Basic use of Marry Mee is free. We also offer paid Plus and Premium plans and optional in-app purchases such as Super Likes, Boosts, Rewinds, extra likes, and like extensions. Prices and features are shown on the pricing page and in the app at the time of purchase and may change.
  2. Members who complete sign-up may browse other members who meet their search and filter criteria, send likes, and, when there is a match (or where a Premium chat-before-match allowance applies), use chat.
  3. We aim to keep the Service available around the clock, subject to maintenance and the limits in Article 12.
  4. We may ask you to update or supplement your profile to keep the Service useful. Profiles that are incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate may be restricted under our internal rules.
  5. We may request identity verification (including a selfie and a photo of an identity document) so we can review a profile. After verification, you must keep your information up to date. Problems or losses caused by incorrect information are your responsibility.
  6. The Service includes profile viewing, likes and matches, messaging, location-based discovery, Passport browsing of other cities (Premium), events, and related features on the website and apps.
  7. Marry Mee is a platform that lets adults create profiles and communicate. The Company is not a matchmaker, agent, or party to any like, match, chat, meeting, relationship, engagement, marriage, or other arrangement between members. We do not promise that you will receive likes or matches, that anyone will be compatible with you, or that a relationship will succeed.
  8. You use the Service, and you interact with other members, entirely at your own risk. We do not screen every profile or message in real time. We do not guarantee that any profile, photo, voice note, or message is accurate, current, or safe.
  9. Connections, conversations, and any offline meeting between members are solely between those members. The Company is not responsible for what members say or do, online or offline. Use your own judgment before you contact or meet someone.
  10. We provide reporting and blocking tools. Using them does not create a duty for us to act in any particular way or within any particular time. If we believe a member may cause harm, we may disable or delete the account and, where we choose, refer the matter to the authorities. We are not liable for the outcome of meetings or for failing to remove a member.

Article 8. Payment, refund, and cancellation

  1. You may buy paid features through the payment methods we offer. Website subscriptions are processed by Stripe. App purchases are processed by Apple or Google. If a transaction fails because of a fault on our side or our payment processor’s side, we will make reasonable efforts to complete or correct it. We do not guarantee that every payment method will be available or error-free.
  2. We may cancel or refuse a refund for credits or payments made through illegal means or means we prohibit.
  3. You may request a correction, refund, or compensation in these cases, unless a legal exception applies:
    1. You paid but received no Service, and the failure is entirely attributable to the Company (excluding unavoidable events such as scheduled maintenance).
    2. You were charged twice because of an error by the Company or its payment provider.
    3. We cancel a paid feature because of our own service interruption.
    4. Another case we designate for consumer protection, or a refund required by applicable law.
  4. Website subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Purchases made through Apple or Google must be managed and, if eligible, refunded under those stores’ rules.
  5. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not refund:
    1. Items or benefits received from other users or from events.
    2. Credits or entitlements we grant for activity inside the Service.
    3. Items you did not pay for directly.
    4. Items that have expired.
    5. Paid features after you are suspended or expelled for violating these Terms or our policies.
    6. Paid features after you voluntarily delete your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a store subscription; you must cancel it with Stripe, Apple, or Google as applicable.

Article 9. The Company’s obligations

  1. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the Service. We do not promise that it will be continuous, error-free, or available in every country.
  2. We may take action, including forced withdrawal, against members who breach these Terms, our policies, or applicable law. We have no duty to monitor every profile or message, and we decide what action to take.
  3. We take reasonable measures to protect personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure will never happen.
  4. Staff may access personal information only as needed to operate the Service. Unauthorized disclosure is a ground for discipline.
  5. We may send members service notices, guidance, and product emails (for example account, security, or product updates).
  6. We will try to make sign-up, changes, account disablement, and account deletion reasonably convenient.
  7. We do not independently verify every profile detail (including relationship status, occupation, education, religion, photos, or intentions). A profile, match, or conversation is not a representation by the Company that the person is genuine, unmarried, or safe to meet.

Article 10. Members’ obligations

Personal information and profile content (photos, prompts, voice introductions, and similar) must be true. You must update material changes. Disadvantages from failing to do so are your responsibility.

Never share personal or financial details with another member, or with anyone who contacts you because of Marry Mee. That includes your phone number, WhatsApp or other messaging ID, personal email, home or work address, precise location, bank account, card number, payment-app or crypto-wallet details, passwords, one-time codes, and identity documents such as a national ID or passport. Do not send money, gifts, or investments. Marry Mee staff will never ask for your password, one-time code, or full bank or card details in chat or by an unofficial message. If someone does, treat it as a scam and report it. Anything you choose to share is at your sole risk. The Company is not a party to that exchange and is not liable for fraud, theft, or any other loss that follows.

  1. False information that harms others may give rise to civil or criminal liability for the person who submitted it.
  2. The Company does not guarantee other members’ information. You are responsible for problems that arise from meetings or conversations with other members, including anyone you meet after leaving the Service.
  3. You must not ask another member for a phone number, address, bank or card details, passwords, one-time codes, identity documents, money, or gifts.
  4. You should read notices posted in the Service. Problems caused by ignoring them are attributed to you.
  5. You must not:
    1. Obtain another member’s information by fraud or unauthorized means.
    2. Interfere with the Service by hacking, distributing malware, or similar attacks.
    3. Steal or use someone else’s identity, membership, or password.
    4. Register fake personal information or impersonate another person.
    5. Insult, harass, threaten, or defame others.
    6. Post or distribute content that is unlawful or seriously harmful to others.
    7. Sell products or run unauthorized commercial activity on the Service.
    8. Upload pornography or other prohibited sexual content.
    9. Capture, scrape, or publish other members’ profiles or personal information (including photos, names, and contact details) outside the Service.
    10. Spread false information about Marry Mee or otherwise interfere with the Service.
    11. Use Marry Mee for any illegal purpose.
    12. Share, request, or collect phone numbers, messaging IDs, home or work addresses, bank or card details, passwords, one-time codes, identity documents, or similar personal or financial information.
    13. Ask anyone for money, gifts, investments, or payment-app transfers.
Members who violate this clause may be forced to leave and may be responsible for civil or criminal consequences.
  6. Membership may not be transferred or sold.
  7. We may deprive you of membership without further warning if you violate these Terms or applicable law, and we will not compensate you for that action.

Article 11. Termination of the contract

Marry Mee treats the following as termination of the membership contract:

  1. You request withdrawal or delete your account in the Service.
  2. You disable your account. A disabled account is hidden from discovery and cannot sign in until it is restored by support.
  3. We force you to leave, without prior notice if necessary, because you seriously fail your obligations or act contrary to these Terms.
  4. It is no longer reasonably possible to keep the account (for example death, a long period of inactivity, or a request we cannot fulfill).
  5. The account falls under a refusal ground in Article 5.

Article 12. Disclaimers and limitations

  1. We may change the Service for operational or technical reasons. We will try to give prior notice of new features and timing on the website or by email. Unpredictable events such as critical bugs, server faults, or sudden security issues may be announced afterwards.
  2. We may limit or shut down the Service if:
    1. There is an unavoidable event such as war, natural disaster, or a state of emergency.
    2. A blackout, hardware failure, or unusually high traffic makes the Service difficult to use.
    3. We are performing maintenance.
    4. The Service cannot function properly for another similar reason.
  3. We may stop providing the Service with 30 days’ notice if reorganization or operating needs require it.
  4. We are not responsible for disconnection caused by your internet or mobile provider.
  5. We are not responsible for service problems caused by you.
  6. Disadvantages from not reading Service notices are not our responsibility.
  7. Unless we separately confirm a profile fact, we are not responsible for harm caused by incorrect profile information.
  8. Copyright in content you post remains with you. You are responsible for that content, including defamation and copyright infringement.
  9. We do not guarantee the identity of members. You are responsible for your own actions if they cause harm to others.
  10. We do not control third-party sites linked from the Service, including advertisements. Those sites have their own terms, and you are responsible for your use of them.
  11. We are not responsible for damage caused by your violation of these Terms.
  12. We are not responsible for issues arising from information you choose to make public on your profile.
  13. If you sell or transfer membership without our consent, we may terminate the account and you remain responsible for resulting damage.
  14. You are responsible for missed notices if your email address is wrong or out of date.
  15. Matters between members, including chats, phone calls, meetings, and anything that happens after you leave the Service, are solely your responsibility.
  16. We are not responsible for fraud, scams, romance fraud, financial loss, or harm that follows from you sharing a phone number, address, bank or card details, password, one-time code, identity document, or any other personal or financial information.
  17. We are not responsible for the conduct, identity, marital status, intentions, or statements of any member.
  18. We do not promise likes, matches, compatibility, marriage, or any particular outcome from using the Service.
  19. Features may change, be limited, or be removed. Paid plans buy access to features as described at purchase, not a guaranteed result.

Article 13. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any member, profile, or message is trustworthy.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, the disclaimers apply to the maximum extent the law allows.

Article 14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its owners, directors, employees, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or the cost of a substitute service. This includes claims arising from your use of the Service or from any member, match, chat, meeting, relationship, scam, or from personal or financial information you share.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid the Company for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that exclusion is prohibited.

Article 15. Release and indemnity

You release the Company and its owners, directors, employees, and service providers from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) arising out of disputes with other members, including chats, meetings, relationships, and any information you choose to share. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code section 1542 to the extent it would limit this release, and you waive any similar law elsewhere, to the extent permitted.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its owners, directors, employees, and service providers from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your breach of these Terms or our policies, your violation of law, or your interactions with other members.

Article 16. Disputes

Before starting a formal claim, you must email hello@marrymee.net with a short description of the dispute and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Company’s operation of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where a mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and the Company agree that any dispute will be brought only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or member of any class, collective, or representative action. You waive a jury trial to the extent the law allows.

If a court finds the class-action waiver unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim may proceed only in court, and the rest of this Article still applies. Exclusive venue, where the law allows us to choose it, is the courts of the Company’s principal place of business.

Article 17. Contact
